Noah Greenberg Award

Eligibility:
The Noah Greenberg Award was established by the Trustees of the New York Pro Musica Antiqua in memory of their founder and first director. The award is intended as a grant-in-aid to stimulate active cooperation between scholars and performers by recognizing and fostering outstanding contributions to historical performing practices. Both scholars and performers may apply, since the Award may subsidize the publication costs of articles, monographs, or editions, as well as public performance, recordings, or other projects. Applicants need not be members of the Society.
Application Procedures:
To apply for the Noah Greenberg Award, you will be required to provide the following materials:
- A description of the project.
- A description of how the project relates to historical performing practices.
- An itemized budget and explanation of the expenses to which the award would be applied.
- Supporting materials such as articles, recordings of performances, or videos which are relevant to the project. The form allows space for up to five file uploads and five URLs (for links to YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) You do not need to fill every available supporting materials field.
Important Notes:
- Start your application process early. You may save an incomplete form and continue later.
- You MUST click the 'Submit' button at the end of the form to submit your application. Applications not submitted by the deadline cannot be considered.

Award:
The winner receives a monetary prize of $2,000 and a certificate, as well as recognition at the Annual Meeting of the Society.
